wow I just read most of the rules....did I read that right? No aftermarket or dealer installed options allowed on the motor? unless its removal of emmisions stuff? so It'd be pointless to put a 401 in it and try and compete...even in the 3700 series.

Actually there is a cherokee in the 3700 class with a 401. Looks exactly like a 1700 class car except for the V-8 under the hood. Can't remember the car number off the top of my head.
