Russian Off-Road Competition Pics!

Yes, that is what they are for. You see the cables on safari and other forest/brush going vehicles. It also allows you to see infront of you when there are branches over your hood, because it pushes them to the sides.

Doesn't help for scratches along the side of your jeep though.
 
Good pics; looks like they all had a good time....but two observations:

1. I'll bet that the term "Tread Lightly" hasn't made it to Russia yet....

2. I'll also bet that none of them have seen a winch cable snap.....
