looking into running a set of dana 60's F&R but first off i have lots of questions for a d 60 is there any model truck or year i should really be looking for?? and plus i have a tnt ylink long arm setup and id really like to retain that in my build is that possible? and also should i stick with coils up front or go with coil overs? Id like to stick with them full width, i really dont want to go with the headaches of cutting them down. also looking to have the rear with disc's would there be a cheap conversion for it or is there a cheap d60 rear i can look for with discs (haha yeah ok) and lastly pros and cons of running full width out my way theres lots of tight trails and rock is this my best path?

big reason im doing this is becuase im now running 37's on my rig so i know its time to make the dive for a stronger axle set.

any help would be great thank you!!!

How tight are your tight trails?

Sometimes it makes them easier if you're a little wider (different line) and sometimes it makes it really hard. Got lots of trees? Being narrow (like, GPW narrow) helps a LOT.

But, from N/T to fullwidth is only a 3"~ increase in track on each side. Which isn't a huge amount, especially if you go to a slightly higher backspaced rim. As long as you don't go to say a hummer backspacing rim (7"~) and have the hubs sticking too far.

And if you want a driver's side pumpkin... Only a ford front axle has that.

bump, anyone???? at all?
sometimes people take more than 15 hours to even view a thread... somtimes people who should search... should search... :scottm:

Um...

I think you should figure out what you want, rather than vaguely ask a community of people to build it for you. This is going to require some research and thinking on your part.

Swapping a 'set of 60s' under an XJ is not a cheap, easy, or simple process.

Yes it is, dont lie to the guy!!

its just like rotateing your tires only a lot more work and about $3,000 for the axles them selves before mods to make them work, but other than that its simple, you dont even need wrenches, a hammer is all i would use. :gee:
