Anybody know the real strength. I know it uses D-30 Shafts.
Is it worth swapping out a Dana 30?? And does anybody know the Ring and Pinion it can fit?? 5.13?

its not any better than a D30.

4.88 rubicon gears are about it.
and its low pinion.

they are 4.11's not 4.88's

ahh sorry

If you're just using the housing, you can set it up with any D44 differential and gearset, which also eliminates the crush sleeve method of setup.

If you're using the Rubi Differential, then you're limited by the extra thick ring gear - I can't remember if it's 4.56 or 4.88.

It is a standard dana 44 diff with dana 30 outers. You get 30 spline axle shafts, larger ring gear, stronger housing, but low pinion. A properly set up rev dana 30 does good especially with 297 u-joints, aftermarket alloy axles etc. Go with a rev ford dana 44 out of a f-150 and they you are getting some strength, or go nuts and get a rev ford dana 60 and big meats and run with the big dogs.
