There's a link to the local news with tons of pictures and videos of the damage and massive flooding. Downtown lebanon was under 2ft of water today and nashville alone has measured 15" of rain in the past 24 hour period. And it showed pictures of cumberland river downtown by waterfront stage and the entire waterfront area was completely underwater.

I hate to hear that about Lebanon, I use to live there for a short time in the mid 80's. Nice place but hard for a outsider to fit in there.

it was pretty bad in hermitage. old hickory blvd (main road i use to get to my house) flooded, i saw a driving range under a few feet of water, and tons of houses got hit bad. luckily i am on a hill, so no real danger. i did venture out to my moms for awhile, then almost couldnt make it back...at one point i had to drive my f350 through water almost 3 feet deep!

i even heard it was so bad, some the xj's got a complete undercarrage clean job!
and some of the XJ's look less dirty now...

on a serious note.. flooding sucks. i lived in FL for 12 years.. i know all there is to know about flooded houses!

There is a video from I-24 that shows some flooded out traffic with a mobile home floating down the shoulder.

On a side note, pretty steady light-medium rain in downtown Knoxville most of the evening.

I was watching the news live as they panned over and showed it and that wasn't a mobile home it was a real home that broke free from it's foundation. There was also a school in that area that reported one of the portable classrooms broke free and was floating away.

Downtown Clarksville is flooded.

Flood stage for the river downtown is 46'; it's currently at 59'.

Did anyone see the Sky 5 shot of the NES facility flooded? They panned back and shot the water going over a waterfall into an old quarry. That was wild!

I hear they are opening Cheatham Dam so they will be closing I24 in Clarksville. The River is less than 5' below the bridge (it is normally about 50') from the bridge.

dry and sunny at my house.... in-laws had to find an alternate route back to west tn, so i imagine they're still on the road....

Time to start watching the PAP yards and junkyards as there's going to be an abundance of parts. Wonder how hard it would be to buy one of the flooded vehicles from a PAP yard?

i got to work from home today because of it...the target right down the street has 2 feet of water in the parking lot...and in the store. they should have done what the kohls did next door, they stacked up a ton of sand bags around all their doors, and looks like it stopped any water from getting in. joes crab shack on 2nd ave (where i worked in college) has water up to the top of their front door, its crazy

Also forgot to mention was that opry mills mall and opryland hotel are currently both under about 8' or so of water. That big open center section of the hotel was nothing but water.

My company has the accounts for Opryland hotel, the pennicle building, wildhorse saloon and a few other large locations that have serious water damage. The pennicle building has the first 2 floors filled with water and the lobby is only a few feet short of having that floor start filling. Fiona and I were down in metro center this evening helping sand bag behind the levy. Really glad we went and there was a great turn out of volunteers.
