That is all. :peace:

I order my wife’s lift kit for Christmas on Saturday and it showed up today now that’s what i call fast service. I have there drop brackets on the Comanche and there beefy. So if any one is on the fence about there service i would say there second to nun.

I should have a build thread soon I have a lot of work a head of me. The jeep doesn’t even run yet but I have a lift kit for it. :confused1

I am looking for a 4.5 inch lift and was thinking either rough country or rustys although rustys does come with a couple more necesities but is also 200 dollars more expensive what do you think.....

I would stay away from Rusty's. I have Rough Country also and Jason (grimus99xj) is a great guy and will set you up with a good deal. PM him and tell him what you are looking for and he will work the best possible deal he can for you.

Rough Country customer service is the best.

Rough Country
Front coil springs,
front lower control arms,
transfer case drop kit,
swaybar links,
brake line relocating brackets,
(4) RC Hydro 8000 series shocks,
rear add-a-leafs and shackles.

Rusty’s KIT INCLUDES:
• Front 4.5" coil springs
• Rear 3" full length add-a-leafs
• 1.5" rear extended greasable shackles
• Fixed front lower control arms
• Front hydro preformance shocks
• Rear hydro prformance shocks
• Adjustable trac bar
• Transfer case drop kit
• Brake line extension kit
• Grade 8 U-Bolts
• 6 degree shims

The only different that I see is the track bar is not included with RC’s and the shims if that’s worth the 2 bills to you then I guess rustys if not I would go with RC’s

What I am going to do is buy the Rock Krawler track bar and put an 8.8 under the rear so I will set my pinion angle. I have the RK track bar and I love it. I like to miss and match my lift kit so i get the best of all worlds. I bought the add-a-leaf because i plan to build the S-10 pack

so how much would it usually cost for a good trak bar for it....... also i kno my buddy installed a 6inch add a leaf and he said tht the back has started to sag on it....

i would agree with the guy above wait until you have the cash for the spring pack. And why 6" of lift man thats tall. I think i paid about 250ish for my track bar to my door it may have been less but it is some beef.

edit if you want rusty's check on DM CL there was a lift on there to high but you might be able to get the guy down and has the full spring pack

My MJ has 8 inches of lift and with 35s. I wheel the snot out of it and it doesn't feel any less stable than my XJ with 4.5 and 33s. Just my my .02 worth. Lift it as high as you want its yours.

I'm sitting at 7.5 on my XJ.. I have never had a problem with it trying to flop, now i almost flipped it over backwards.. That was my fault, i know better...

I agree that it is all personal preference my MJ is close to 6 plus inches of lift on 34’s and I love the way it wheels but the MJ is also long wheel base. I have never wheeled and XJ before and this will be are first. I just think they look goofy that tall once again this is my opinion.

But back to the subject at hand Rough Country does make a good inexpensive lift for some one that wants to start out a little on the cheap side of things.

Yea i plan to get the 4.5 inch rims and then i need to get some 32s that way i wont really have to do a trim job and they still look pretty good but i was thinking about just buying a wheel and tire package from desertrat.com

Rough Country is great! I have had my 4.5 with full leafs for a little over a year now and I'm still just very happy with it. Jason (Grimmus99xj) is a great guy and has fixed every problem I have had very quick with no questions asked. I have also installed a 4inch on a yj and it also installed very easy and is a great kit too. I would go RC again!

Another VERY pleased customer of Jason and Rough Country. I have never had anything Rusty's (because of everything I've heard) , but can say for certain that Jason will make sure you are a happy customer that wants to come back!

I have the 3" lift and it was a great deal for full springs. I would recommend. :peace:
