Rough Country drop bracket install w/ pics

Verify what I am seeing?

It looks like the drop brackets do not push the axle forward 1" like the RE do. Can you loook from all angles and tell me?

Also x2 on the question. How much lower are the frame ends of the CA?

Everything looks good, especially the price and I might just order a set now.

It looks like the RE move the arms further forward that the RC ones lets see some more angles to see if I'm just seeing things

That sucks because I was looking for that forward movement, but I just got off the line with Jason at RC and put in my order. He is super cool to work with. At this price the fence was nowhere to be found to sit on.

the RC ones drop the mounts straight down, not foward as far as I can see. Since I have adjustable upers and lowers the foward movement was not an issue to me. If you look at the first pic that I posted of the included components it shows the main bracket and that the holes are in line with the factory holes. There is about a 1/2-3/4" of adjustment for your alignment shoes, but for the most part is is a direct drop.

And X2 on dealing with Jason. He is hands down the best customer service rep I have EVER delt with.

The arms swing in a circular motion, therefore dropping the mounting location straight down, it will push the axle forward some amount. The RE brackets do the same thing.

interesting, i didnt realize that the RC brackets also drop the mounting point for the upper control arm.

does anybody know if the RE drop brackets drop the upper control arm. it looks like the RC brackets drops the lowers about 3" which still leaves the lower arm at an angle. i believe the RE brackets drop the arm about 4".

So the RE drop brackets drop 4.25", do we have confirmation on how far the RC drop brackets drop the control arms?

4" straight down

When Ordering from their website how do I make sure I get my NAXJA Discount?

I am just looking forward to a little bit cushier ride. I my RC lift functions perfectly when I'm on the trail, I just think that these will make the street manners much nicer, and possibly allow my suspension to flex a little more freely on the trail. Am I going to need to have it re'aligned after the install?

You will notice a huge differennce on the street manners. I did not have mine realigned, but it is a trail rig for the most part so it sees the street about 250 miles a year. I just do tape measure alignments to that rig anyhow.

The install instructions on RC didn't say to have it re-aligned (or at least I didn't see it... may not have paid that much attention), so maybe I can get away without doing it. I also ordered their quick disconnects as well.... they seemed like a steal at just $50 for the set.

Check the last page of the instructions that are posted on the RC site. It says to have the vehicle realigned. Since yours is going to be on the street I highly recommend it.

How much were they after shipping and everything? I am thinking that I must have these! Its either these, or long arms, and the wife will probably like the price of these much better.

they are 189 on the website. try to find a wholesaler though. about 20 bucks cheaper and shipped.

I already Ordered from Jason (Grimus99XJ), on here, and he got'em for me for less than $200 shipped, and they should be here today or tomorrow.
