Does anyone make a solid roller cam for lets say 1990 to 1996 4.0.

I wonder if one could be custom made? I would like to put one in a 4.6 stroker.

No, there isn't a roller cam of any kind (hydraulic or solid) available for the Jeep I6. You could have one custom made but it'll probably cost you an arm and a leg. You'd also have to modify the lifter bores in the block to accomodate roller lifters so it ain't gonna be a simple bolt-on affair.

unless your building a race motor I cant see the advantage. (not very usefull in a jeep) with constant adjustment and all.

On a side note theres a guy up here in chatam ON that has a jeep powerd race car I'm not sure what cam he's using but I do know its all custom stuff, crank, intake, rods, valve etc. It makes over 450hp but he rebuilds after every weekend and hes runnig 3 side draft carbs.

my point you can get pretty wild with the stuff out there so why bother?

Agree. A solid lifter cam from Crane Cams or Clifford Performance would be as much as you'd need if you want to build a high-revving stroker producing 320+hp in naturally-aspirated form.

Point taken.

With in the next year, i will be buying a cherokee. I am holding out to find a sub $1000 one. As long as the body is ok, I want to rebuild everything and lift it 6 inches. I live in Arizona, so there are plenty of places to play!!!
