Rock Slider Hardware

So I fabricated some rock sliders for my XJ (pretty much identical to the ORGS super nerfs.) I decided that for the frame rail attachment, the self tapping bolts into the outboard side of the rail would be plenty strong. Only problem is: now that I'm ready to bolt them up, I can't find any decent, large, self tapping bolts/screws.

Before I change my plan, does anyone know where I can get suitable hardware?

Thanks,

Matt

What you're looking for is "Type F" self threading bolt.

Hard to find and expensive compared to regular bolts.

Do I get a royalty check? :D

Thanks, they'll be here Monday.

I would have bought yours (its far superior to any other on the market) but I spent this months Jeep fund on your "Adjustable Track Bar." :D

I usually use McMaster Carr when I'm looking for an offbeat type of fastener. www.mcmaster.com. Chances are, if it exists, they usually have it. Their catalog is also a good all-around tool to have handy when you are putting together a design. And if nothing else, its heavy enough to make a dandy doorstop.
