Road conditions around GSENM March 2010

does anybody has actuall informations about the road conditions on
- Cottonwood Road
- Sukumpah Road
- House Rock Valley Road
- Hole in the rock
- Hells Backbone

We will be in this area from March 22nd til April 14th.

The official web site of BLM don´t have any informations yet.

HI, I am looking for up to date information.
I know the area very well.
We are there once or twice a year for 3 weeks.
This since 10 years.

But it is the first time we are there in early spring.

I just talked to the visitor center down there on the phone. I guess it's raining pretty good and everything is muddy and hard to navigate.

The visitor center in Escalante is your best bet for information. Their phone number is 435-826-5499. If language is an issue I would be more than willing to call for you closer to your trip and get the information for you.

I will get back to it.
We will arrive in Page at March 22nd.
For the 23rd we have permits for the wave (CBN) and the next day for CBS.

we are very close to leave Germany.
Beginning on Sunday we will start our Trip to GSENM.

They are closed but I will call in about ten hours. Check back after that, I'll let you know.

Have been on House Rock Valley Road.
No problems. Have seen some regular cars at wire pass Trailhead.

Have been on Smoky Mountain Road too.
It also ok for all SUVs.

At visitor center in Big Water they told me Cottonwood Canyon Road is still impassable for all type of vehicles.
Things are getting a lot better here since the last week.

Hole in the Rock Road is useable for all 4wd.
