Rhino Lining my floor boards

Box kicker

Okay so after yesterday I sank my jeep again! It took 3 dollars of supervacuuming to get al the water out:( and I dont' want rust to kill my floor boards and stuff:skull1: so I was wondering if I should just take the quick fix and rip out my carpet and spray it with bed liner for like 8$ a can OR pay 100$ for the duplicolor package at autozone and do four days straight of hard core hand sanding and spraying it down for days?

Easy answer, I think you already know it. You get what you pay for, and with any painting... your prep work is everything.

Go to O'Reilly Auto and get the Herculiner kit it's better and more widely used than duplicolor which usually peels off. It can be done in sections without any problems, of course the ideal way would be do to the whole thing at once. I did it to my 92 years ago and it was done in a weekend by myself with no help at all, so I don't know where you're getting this 4 days from. It doesn't have to be taken to bare metal and is best if it isn't. You can either take the scrubbing pad that's included with the kit and use it or sandpaper with your hand/block just don't use any power tools as it will take it off to far. The longest thing about doing it is the curing time and the time it takes the smell to go away. So if you do it in sections then it's going to take alot longer for the smell to go away than the time it does if it's all at once.

I'll check that out, the 4 days came from the guy at autozone after I first sank my jeep, I don't mind the smell cuz I drive with my windows down and leave them down at work, cuz I'm waiting for hte water to dry out... but I'll check out O'riely's cuz I was about ready to just cut out the carpet wipe down the metal and then spray it all down with rustoleum bed liner haha:eyes:

I striped my Tj down, sanded and sprayed mine inside and out in 8 hours and change the tj from prange to white.

But it's costly to my cause and the time for that is hard to get that means 4 days of no vehicle at all.. if I could do it in parts, I definitely would

The Hurculiner roll on kit only takes a day (night) to cure. You can do your prep work in sections, just bolt your seat and belt back in when you need to drive.

Most likely you are going to find some rust you will want to take care of anyways.

I did the bedliner on the exterior trim section, and also replace my carpet and seats. Along with the interior job came the rust surprise, which I took care of then.

Do it once, do it right. It's better for your Jeep and your pocket in the long run.

hurc all the way it sticks great do 2 thick coats I bought them for BOGO and used both gallons and havent seen the first sign of peeling anywhere

My vote is for Raptor liner if you have an air compressor or access to one.

Here are some pictures of when i did it, I have done herculiner as well and I like raptorliner better because its easier to install and takes about a 25% of the time to install it. Its also ready to use in 8 hrs it dries real quick so you can do it at night and throw a seat in the next morning so you can drive it again.

Scroll down towards the bottom of the page to see pictures of my rig wit raptorliner done.

Also the raptorliner seems to be holding up better to the abuse then my herculiner did the herculiner is great dont get me wrong its way better then the duplicolor. but for your money and time if you have an air compressor or access to one the raptorliner is the way to go in my point of view.

I second this. The only reason mine isn't done just like this
yet is my serious lack of time.
