Retarded Question about Bar Pins (shocks)

hey retarded question but I can just knock the bar pin out of the shock when putting bar pin eliminators on truck right. I am about put some bar pin eliminators on the front of the truck and I was gonna run the current shock for now. I am guessing u can just knock the bar pin out and the remanning bushing will work.
