Restoring a Comanche

I'm trying to restore an 89 and a 90 Comanche, both to original stock condition. Why stock? I don't really know, it just appealed to me. Anyway, does anyone know what voltage the LED's are that light up the stock cassette/radio? Also the voltage of the bulbs that light up the LCD (three of them around the display). I know this sounds minor but, I really want the original electronics in the vehicles.

Thanks, Mike

Sorry I can't answer your question, but I commend your efforts to restore those MJ's. And I'm sure I can speak for Eagle on that issue as well. I have 2 myself, and Eagle has at least 4 that I know of that are on the books for restoration. Good luck, and keep us posted.

AFAIK all the bulbs in the dash are 12 V. I don't believe the stock radio in my 90 had led's, just regular bulbs, but ymmv. There are no LCD's in any 90 or earlier dash that I have ever seen, so I'm not sure what you mean.

Also is the process of restoring a Comanche. Even my wife is convinced it is the best truck on the planet. :)

Kejtar- fiatslug as in "let there be slug" the Univ. of CA Santa Cruz mascot.

Fred- The stock cassette player and radio both have LCD displays (redundant) illuminated by three "wheat" bulbs, I didn’t mean the dash itself. Are the bluish/green things that back-light the buttons bulbs not LED’s?

Ok, 'Fiat' as in, 'Fiat Lux', meaning, 'let there be light'.

Not 'Fiat 127', that being the car I learned to drive in.

The clock and the stereo both have LCDs. Neither of them have an LED.
