Replacing an old cage with a hybrid - HD Offroad Engineering

*SNIP*

Wow - just noticed...I think I hit 1000 posts in this thread. Only took 8 years!

I figured I should make my first post of 2011 just to say awesome! Looks better than the text messages.

Now lets see how many posts I have after 8 years....

ARMAGEDDON! :D

That thing is looking good! I think I may plan this for the day my 95 is bombed out and I put all the parts into a 97+ rig that's clean...

It's been a couple weeks...she is pretty much wrapped up. Here are some progress/update pics:

these harnesses used to mount with tabs to a bar in the old C-hoop. I cut off the tabs and turned them into a loop-style attachment.

Those fenders turned out great Pat! Good thing I was there to make sure none of that red paint showed through when you were painting the tube black :D

No plans of headliner at moment. The old one has burn spots from the original cage and is done. I have thought about putting some carpet up there, but will decide later. Are you glad because of clean appearance or noise reduction?

Pretty pleased with the fenders, but they aren't anywhere near perfect.

just saw this thread though a link.

super clean cage. i love how you kept all the front tubing beind the fenders.

didn't get all crazy with the tube, but kept it well balanced. good job i really dig it.
