renix camshaft in a ho block

I've read somewhere that the renix cam's had better lift/duration numbers and that they needed this tbecause of the horsepower loss with the egr. Has anybody tried putting in a renix cam in a stock ho block to pick up a few extra ponies? I'm about to switch to a ho block and am thinking about throwing in the cam from my renix motor...is it worth it?

If you're just using the HO block but the Renix intake / injection putting in the Renix cam will juse make it a Renix.

The differences between Renix and HO are as follows:
Intake
Cylinder Head
Fuel Injection System
Exhaust Manifold (Difference is really only with the EGR bung and O2 stuff)
Cam

The only other difference is '96 up has a crank girdle.

Right now I'm running a '96 Block with a Renix head, intake, and all that. I am using the '96 camshaft and have no issues. It's not really powerful but it's pushing 35's and lift and all that crap.

Aside from that I wouldn't bother with an HO injection swap, more trouble than it's worth, the Renix system rocks!

yeah i've read gobs of threads on this swap, i'm pretty set on everything i need. I found a 98 block with 70k, i left the head on and i'm putting renix intake exhaust on it. I thought the renix cam had a slightly more aggressive profile. Does anybody know where to find these numbers?

The renix-->95 HO cams are the same. I've read that the cam in the renix is advanced some degrees to bring more low-end power. Someone needs to compare the two fsms to find the differences on installation/different timing sets used and maybe we can come up with a #.
