Reccomend me some speakers

That 40W is max power, not RMS. If you run component speakers, Infinitys or not, you'll need to buy an amp. Running components on 40W max output will make them sound less than good.
I beg to differ. Yes i have heard people say this, but I have had no problems with ym panosonic head unit and infinity's. To be honest, they sound sweet!

Like I said before, I have no problems running infinity's with my panisonic head unit. It sounds WAY better the my stockers did. Some people say you have to have an amp with speakers like that. Well you dont. I am living proof. Mine sound awesome!!! I will say that with an amp they would probably sound better, but I dont need one. So its your decision.

Well I dont think that your lying. Do you know the model number? I'll grab some today. Where did you get them? Cost?

They are 5002i. They aren't the cheapest thing out there, but they sure do sound nice. I overpayed, stupid college kid, oh wait, that was last summer! 170 bucks later I had them, that didn't include install. I would bet you could find them for 150 or less. Thats for all four I might add. Good luck!

By the way, dont shop at Car Toys.........

Woah woah, slow down. What needs to be really clear right now is if you are planning on running component speakers or coaxial speakers. If you are running coaxials, then the head unit's power will be just fine. If you are running components, I highly recommend buying an amp. If you don't then you are not getting what you paid for.

5002i's are listed as multi-element speakers. Thus made to go with your stock unit or an amp. Forgot to mention this earlier, sorry. Still the best deal in my opinion!

I got 6 1/2's to fit in my 99's doors w/no effort.

Definitaly dont waste your money on a component set if your not gona run an amp to it. And if you are gona get a component set w/an amp get an amp pushing around max RMS of the speakers. This will acheive optimum performance.

Save up and go for the components. It will be worth the wait.

I'm currently saving for Infinity perfect 6.5" components for the front and a 10" Infinity perfect sub for the back, a infinity reference 111X4 amp (RMS) to power it all.

I already have some Boston Accoustic Pro series 5.25" components in the back (already owned them when I bought the Jeep). Could use more and that explains the sub.
