reasonable price for rear disk brakes off ZJ 97-98

Hi,

I am going to try to find rear disk brakes for my Cherokee at junk yards in the SF south bay. I am looking for combination valve + backing plates + all stuff on it, calipers, disks...

What would be a reasonable price for that ?

I got mine from a guy in sac for $85 shipped, that included all axle end parts (rotors/calipers etc, plus brake booster, valve) and also included a pair of D44 shafts. I ended up not using the PB unit, but the disc's are great.

I've a quote at a junk yard yesterday - 750 for the whole axle. I refused, of course

How did you find the guy ?
Craigslist, naxja.org, some other board ?

It was either off of JU or RE's classifieds....this was a couple years ago, but the story as i understand it was the guy was either hit (totalled) or rolled it, bought it back from the insurance so he could strip what he had added (or could save) and was parting the rest. You could always try to find a GC 35 at a PnP or some other...i can't believe they'd want 750 for them, but then again i've never priced them either...

If you buy someones who has rolled it, check and double check the actual "brackets" to make sure they aren't cracked i did come across a few during my search for them, and a portion of people weren't very up front about that...
