40,000 miles on my Tom Woods driveshaft. It was chirping like a bird so I figured that the center ball was dry. Took it off..sure enough, the whole CV end was stiff and hard to move. Greased everything up and everything seemed good to go. Put it back on and it now vibrates. Took it back off and pulled the outer u-joint to inspect the ball piece and it seemed tight. What do you think the newfound vibration is coming from?? All I really did was take it off, grease it and put it back on.
