RE6300 Long Arm kit

So I have coneections at 4wheel parts and can pickup the RE6300 long arm kit for under $1,600. Just want to know what people who have ran the kit think about it.

I know a few people with the kits and upgrades who wheel the piss out of them and even more with the TJ kits. They've held up just fine and were put together nicely. Best longarm setup I've seen though used their arms with a custom crossmember that put the arms completely above the bottom line of the frame rails. Hell of a lot of work though, relocating exhaust and pounding out the trans tunnel to shove the drivetrain up.

TNT kit with RE stuff.

I recently installed the RE XLA kit about a month ago. I upgraded mine with 7.5" coils and 5.5" leafs w/ their boomerang shackles. This combo really works when needed. I spent 2 days in Calico and ran the piss out of it. The only Problem I did note was that the Bumpstop cups need to be shaved down or they will catch on the inner side of the coils. You can see pics of it in action at http://www.lostkjs.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3273

Seriously save your self the hassell, and buy something else... Nothing rubicon makes just "bolts up", the two that I have had the pleasure of installing on virgin chassis's were a total pain in the rear to get fitted properly... I swear not one bolt hole line up with their skid plate-cross memeber... I have found that the TNT and Full Traction make good kits, But I would lean torward a Clayton or a TNT... Full Traction is nothing more than CalMini aka Samurai stuff... Poor cust service too boot... just my .02$ worth...

I looked into both the RE and the Full Traction kits before I went with Rusty's off road. I think RE and FT are overpriced. I got a complete bolt on 9" lift from Rusty's Off Road for a lil under $1700. Rusty is a very friendly guy and is always there to help you with any problems( by phone of course). Take a look at this set up before making a decision. We installed it in one weekend.

I have the Full Traction kit.
The only thing that I don't like is the too low LCA attaching point at the "frame".
You can see it here.

TnT Customs kit is on its way. Would have liked to have fabbed my own stuff, but ran out of time.

Jeff-I would hardly say all you need is a TnT kit and some springs. There is alot more involved to lifting then just that. How about shocks, brakelines, T-case fix, bumpstops, trackbar, discos and quite possibly alot more.

Drop pitman arm, rear shackles, hardware, and trying to figure out how to make a bunch of different manufacturers junk all work together...

Price it out and add it up. The cost will be up there with the complete kits...

I didnt say just a TNT kit and springs...i did include the "everythign else" in there too ya know before i hacked my post :wierd:...its not just as easy as springs....but with that said, you should still be roughly(it will be more no doubt) within the price he stated with some frugal shopping for mostly everything you will need....but will be a better setup overall.

Pay a little more now, save ALOT later...ask me how i know this... :flamemad:

I hear you there man. I can count $3k under my Jeep when I think of ALL the parts I have bought. Though in reality it's only about $1500 still attached. Live and learn and don't buy junk parts. Oh yeah and do it right the first time or buy something that is buildable.

Thanks for all your replies. I am trying to do it right the first time and I think the RE6300 is the way to go. I would like the TnT kit but to piece everything together would be way too much money.

Hey , My Full Traction Kit cost me $2000 Canadian , including taxes and 4 shocks. That what around $1,716 US. Anyways I dont mind the kit yep there are some imperfections down the road ill just take those off and make a crossmember. I would suggest the kit as it works great for someone taking the next bigger step into modding their vehicle.

Thanks D.J.

im surprised no one on here has mentioned the rock krawler long arm kit.
I will definitely put a vote in for the rk kit. A lot cheaper than the re kit and and the rk kit is strong as anything.
