So my friend has a Fj and offered to foot the bill for the event fee for me to tag along, and I did. Ill spare any smack talk, the FJs are pretty good wheelers. If they didnt have that rear locker they wouldnt go very far with the wheels in the air all the time, but it was interesting to see them perform. There isnt quite the same jeep type comradery between folks, but I was with a novice group since it was his first time out & what do I know. Anyway....

haha there were some nicer bigger FJs there, but the majority were stockish. I guess its tough to do anything real hardcore with something so new, and they ride so damn low to the ground. Since I rode with the novice group they did look at me wierd when I had to go out of my way to drive over the rock gardens and take the more difficult lines for everything, so I could feel like I was wheeling.

anyway a few of the nicer ones

I've always hated them. Except when I see them built. But then it's also good to get more people into wheeling, especially people with money.

very true, my cherokee is barley worth a lift kit for one of those things, but getting people into wheeling that otherwise would never have cared can be a good thing.
