Question for the Obama supporters

I just hope it's because he's an enemy of the state and not for his skin color but the truth would never be revealed if it is the former.
:patriot:
Well, if he got shot by a black shooter then Biden would be the main man, if a white shooter, well, then we will have a civil war...

As I stated the other day, congratulations to those who were supporting Obama in this election. While I was disappointed in McCain's loss, I do look forward to seeing what he can do over the next 4 years.

While I supported McCain in this campaign, I was often critical of his decisions during the campaign as well as some of his positions on health care and the bailout. I much preferred the moderate Senator McCain to the right wing McCain we all saw over the past couple months.

That being said, I have a question for you all. Am I the only one? Was I the only one who at one point this election considered voting for the "other side? (there was a 2 week period in mid-October when I thought I would be voting Obama)" Am I the only one who questions what the candidate says and is able to disagree with them about a point, but still support them?

The reason I ask is that I have not heard anyone I know supporting Obama say anything negative about him, his policies, etc. Please tell me I'm wrong, and tell me: As an Obama Supporter, what position of his do you NOT agree with?

Thats all, I swear. I promise not to post anything political on NAXJA for a while after this one.

I had, have concerns about his mandatory health care / insurance position, and so called fines for parents that op out, but he won't be the only one making the changes. It will widely debated, argued over, lobbied over, beat to death, etc., before the new health insurance program(s) go into effect.

I looked at Obama long and hard for six months early in the primaries before picking him over Hilliary in the primary. Made up my mind the day I voted at the primary.

McCain reminded me way too much of the bad parts of GWB and R Reagan, and McCain never did or said anything in the last 6 months before the election that even remotely came close to changing my mind, in fact the more he said in debates and on public podiums, the more I was sure he would be a HUGE mistake for the economy right now.

His last weeks message of "I will freeze the federal budget" told me he was either a bald faced liar, or an idiot. You don't use a hatchet and freeze the federal budget at times like these. Hell he had just voted for the hugest budget increase legislation in history, the financial bail out.

"Freeze the budget" my ass. That and Palin sealed deal for me.

But to answer your question, I gave this presidential selection more thought, reading, digging, and consideration than any in my 35 years of voting. I was still having minor second thoughts about Obama until about 8 to 12 weeks ago.

Obama graduated from Columbia....

That tells me something....

They must have a hell of a "public speaking" department....the rest of the university sucks...

You do know that he went on to Harvard law school, and got a law degree, right?

By the way, has it dawned on anyone here yet, that Obama is now (I think) the 5th or 6th Harvard grad to become a US President?
