So my chapter is going to moab in late May. I dont want to drive the jeep that far because of the high miles on it and incase I break something I dont want to worry about having to get it home. My uncle has a tandam axle trailer I can use and ive used it before to tow the jeep. But my dad had a bigger truck then he does now. And I dont know if my truck would pull good or not. Its a 96 F150 pretty much stock with the V8. Would I be ok using it to pull the XJ to moab and back, or would it not be a good idea?

Depending on the trailer weight and whether it has brakes or not.. I would say do not do it.

Ill have to check and see what V8 it is because I havent had it very long, I just got it passed down to me after my grandpa passed away. The trailer weighs about 1100 pounds and has trailer brakes.

Brake controller & trailer brakes are a must. If the truck is an automatic I would add a transmission cooler if it doesn't already have one. Find out which motor you have and what gears and check the towing limit. If you're under, you'll be fine if you equip your truck properly
