Q: no nitrous? A: no. jus' gas n' turbo

I was offended because of the relationship to GM vehicles. Ive read the Cobalt SS is actually a quite capable vehicle, no first-hand experience though. It also is a turbo. GM can put it on whatever GM vehicle they want, but a 98 XJ is not a GM vehicle. He might as well put Vtec on the back.

Just to mess with people I'm putting SRT6 Badges on my project jeep and on my Dadge ram since they are both 6cyl and the truck and soon the Jeep have well over the stock power.

Cobalt SS is not turbocharged. There is a Cobalt SS and a Cobalt SS supercharged. No Turbo.

I was thinking it wasn't that bad.. the turbo set up looked decent aside from the red wire cover on any hose or pipe in the engine bay.

.... Then I got about 1/2 way through the video and he went to the rest of the XJ... ugh...

I also refer to mine as an SRT-6 lol. Its within corporate lines, and I wave to the SRT-8 GCs like we're a family or something.

I'd feel wrong doing that, considering that the XJ had nothing to do with the Street and Racing Technology team.

Besides, the only SRT-6 that exists is the Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6, and I wouldn't want to people to think it had the same engine. It's actually a turbocharged 3.2L V6.

Well what else would I call it? Maybe an R/T since they were putting it on the Dodge products, but I think there would be more recognition for the SRT badging. I figure since there is a Jeep SRT GC now, people would get the point. 4.6 stroker decals where the 4.0L decal is should clear up any 3.2 confusion.

Haha that guy. I got permbanned from JF because of him.

This Jeep is yet another red disaster. Sure an extra 100hp would be nice, but I still wouldn't be caught dead driving this thing. It's too damn tacky.

I got pretty damn close to a permban because he is a whiny bitch :D

i see mass plates...definitely gonna keep an eye out for that, shouldn't be hard to miss! lol. it is hideous, but seems to be a pretty clean looking job with the turbo setup.

397 HP it CANTDO. He fails at math too. 210 hp stock 4.0L+turbo /= 397 hp. And I seriously doubt he went through the expense of going custom forged bottom end to cope with the boost necessary to reach that number and keeping it 4.0L.

Hmm now that does remind me of someone but it would probably bring back bad memories for some people to mention that name.
It's funny how that assclown disappeared off JF the same time I got permbanned. He hasn't updated his cardomain page since either. I'm actually starting to worry a bit. I can't help but think I'll take full flak if he's discovered dead in ditch or something :eyes:

ok I have a question. who here has pushed the limits of the stock bottom end with forced induction. I haven't realy seen a whole lot of people put much more than about 7 psi and that normaly the limit with out a intercooler of some sort.out bottom ends are pretty damn stout and years ago there were AMC sixes putting out 500 to 600 hp with forced induction. and out cranks are for the most part better than what they had to work with. so unitll people start blowing bottom ends apart then theres no way we can say it wount work.
