After lots of research, blood, sweat, and tears....
1" thick 8x8 plate steel.
I know it looks really out of shape but it actually fits the contour of the case
Fits the input housing nicely
All bolted on and loctited. (It's drilled for a flip and 2 clocking positions.)
The shifter came from a Toyota MR2. On the bench I can control both shift rails seperatley with one stick. I hope I can get it to work like that in my XJ.
I've already replaced both yokes with NP231 front CV yokes.
Now I need to start getting it in the jeep.
