I purpose built this unit to take on the Rubicon Trail a few years ago. I built it being able to move from vehicle to vehicle if I wanted to. Fit perfect right on top off the dash of my 91 XJ.
The radio itself, I can't remember the model number. It's just their (Sirius) cheap satellite receiver. I'm sure I paid under a hundred bucks for it. The box is a Radio Shack project box. The antenna is a Sirius Satellite roof top mounted antenna from a Dodge quad cab truck. Throw it on the dash, plug it into 12V power, attach to aux input on your radio, and you're set to go. I actually used it more than I thought I would, but haven't since I got rid of my Dodge truck and didn't renew my subscription. It'll have to be re-activated and updated. I plugged it in and that's what it said.
