Pros and cons to Rhino lining???

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone has tried to Rhino Line (or other similar process), the rocker panels on your XJ?

I just got a new to me 94, lifted with 32s. Pics and a seperate post to follow in a couple of days.

The previous owner used some shaky bomb on the rockers, bumpers and flares and you guessed it, it's coming off in large flakes.

Thinking about properly painting the flares and rhino lining the rockers.

The bumpers are going to be replaced anyway so I wont spend any time on them.

Anyway, I would appreciate any input on this.

My wifes XJ had it on there when we bought it, Prep is obviously the key. On the rear fender wells and Rockers it is sticking really good, the front bumper was originally Chrome and the Rhino-lining came right off in big sheets, the rear bumper and DS Rail it is sticking good, but the PS Rail it is flaking off. So it appearers that if the area is prep-ed good it will stick.

I would use herculiner. I just finished doing my front/rear/ and bottom of the doors, and its really great stuff. Beezle recommended it to me, and im glad he did it looks great and dosent scratch or chip. You just have to use two cots and you put it on as thick as you want, Mine is pretty thick and I love it. I will recommended it to anyone else. Like hugo said even with this stuff, prep is the key. Take a sanding block over whatever you want to herculiner and ruff it up, dont have to take the paint all the way off, just take the shine off and then take very well and let it dry for awhile and its turns out great

Tough as hell (up to 1/4" thick)
Color matching
Bonds great to surface (sprayed at something like 400*F)
Cool little mfg. brand plate

Cons:
Pricey
You have to let somebody else work on you heep
Cheesey little mfg. brand plate
