Not to hyjack this thread...but that was a launch off the backside of "testhill" at Silver Lake sand Dunes...problem was the other side had been blown out with a 5' drop till the area we landed on. most of the time the hill has a flat top you sort of just plop up on. why do think we have a full cage now :roll:

So no pictures of this weekend, but I went to formally test out the XJ with the new tires/rims and I found out after popping both my front flares that I need to bumpstop and get longer brake lines.

I am contemplating on the fiberglass fenders, but I like the stock looking fenders way too much. Time to repop them into place and move my axle forward a bit with control arm drop brackets also.

1) It is the angle of the picture but I think I need to make my LCA longer by adjusting them.

2) It is when you cut the output shaft of the TC and put a yoke on it, basically.

*sigh* I don't want to cut but I have to. I want to relocate my stock flares up higher but the metal brackets are kinda toast. Know where I can get them?

The fender popped back easily. I swear it is made out of a Coke bottle metal. I would like KM2s but they are ~$800 lol.

Mine are so rusted its not even funny. I would have to drill the remaining bolts out. Let me see what I am going to do, if fiberglass fenders or stock relocated and I will let you know.

Are you putting the stock ones back on? or are you going with something else?

Stock ones. I moved my LCA forward so they don't hit anymore on the fender it seems. Just need to figure out the stock flare brackets with the broken bolts.

Can you grind off the old bolts and weld new ones on in their places? that would be the simplest idea IMO... or going to the jy and pulling other brackets, if they don't break too!

Yea grinding and then hopefully drilling through the bolts is the idea. I think the jy brackets would break. They don't sell these brackets either; I have searched for them. I can only find the 84-96 brackets which are different.
