Hey guys, love browsing the forum but never really have posted my Jeep so I will do a quick summary. The XJ is my daily driver so I wanted to build something that would look and work nice, without hacking the body.

So back in August I was able to finally buy the Cherokee I wanted due to Financial Aid Refunds from college. A 1999 Jeep Cherokee Limited with leather interior, power everything, and sun roof.

Here is when I first got it:

I then added a 2" BB and 30s:

But then I was like nah, I want different wheels.

Long story short, I found a guy on Craigslist selling TJ Rubicon Rims (which I have wanted since FOREVER). They were on 285/75/16 which are around 33x11.5s.

Currently Upgraded:
  • Nates 4x4 Slimline Winch Bumper
  • H4 Rampage Housings
  • H4 Wiring Harness
  • Durango Steering Box
  • RE 3.5" Lift
  • IRO Double Shear Track Bar
  • HD Radio

In the future as a to-do list:
  • Lockers
  • Winch
  • Snorkel
  • Skidplates
  • NP242 Hack & Tap
  • Control Arm Drop Kit
  • Bumpstop

And that's it for now.

Looks good man, I love the limited's...Are you getting to the point that you are going to trim? Or are you still keeping the body straight?

Thanks man! Keeping it straight is my goal. I just need to trim about 0.5" of the plastic front flare where it meets the door since when I turn it catches by a tiny bit, but still annoys me.

Granted if I get control arm drops then the front axle will be pushed forward about an inch or so. Would be nice to get some money for that lol.

Looks great!

There's just something about a good, lifted, clean, DD look!

Love your rig man.

What kind of tires are those? They aren't bad looking.

I'd like to get a set of "highway" tires like those on my moabs, for the low rolling resistance.

Thanks man, your rig inspired it. Tires are Yokohama Geolander A/T.

Mine has a similar stance but I cut the fenders! :D I plan on having my dad fab up some tube flares for it in the future. Nice looking rig. My buddy has been working on a limited for a little while and I have been drooling all over it. :D

Thanks man yours looks pretty badass. I keep getting asked where I got the sunroof and leather seats for the XJ. I say "came from the factory". :D

Thanks Dude, She is coming together nicely. Once i get the gears and a few other things done she is gonna stay like that for a while. Going into cheap ass mode so I can buy a house! Damn adult life getting in the way! :D

Looks real nice.....Sort of like mine :) How are you getting away with not doing the H&T with a 242 and RE3.5...mine had such bad vibes at 30mph i parked it for a week until my DS and H&T could be installed....

Looks good keep up the good work.....

Thanks man. I get a little vibration with the RE lift, but my Jeep is weird because it is the same vibe that I got with a 2" lift. Definitely driveable, except if I go 80+. A hack and tap is definitely up in my list, if not the first thing. Either that or welding the rust hole I have in my floor. :roflmao:

Your Jeep is very similar I see. What hack and tap did you go with? I was thinking Iron Rock Off Road with the refurbished shaft for $200.

I went with the RE one with the new CV shaft. It was a great kit, but as we all know, can not get anything from RE right now.

I know! I received my RE kit in the mail and no lie that same day my friend sent me a link to their site and I was like :tears:.
:laugh2:

Badass avatar by the way.

Thanks man...figured i would use it since it is a real pic of my jeep and no damage was done. wheeled the rest of the weekend after being winched down. Same thing sort of happened to me with RE I was sitting at work one day an thought i ought to have a set of control arm bushings in the garage just in case. I ordered them and like two days after they showed up they closed.

I meant to ask you what in the world you were doing when you did that. Not really, i pretty much figured it out and just wanted to give you a hard time! :D

Not to hyjack this thread...but that was a launch off the backside of "testhill" at Silver Lake sand Dunes...problem was the other side had been blown out with a 5' drop till the area we landed on. most of the time the hill has a flat top you sort of just plop up on. why do think we have a full cage now
