So I cleaned up and painted the inner Cs, replaced the lower bearings/seals, and the upper components minus the kingpin itself. It looked pretty good to me.

threw on the solid knuckles and measured for the steering ram based on a steering arm hole 8" from the center of the kingpin. I need a ram with 8" of throw.

no studs for high steer arms?

(im not saying your wrong i just didnt know you could use bolts)

hmm. hey if its what it came with it must work haha.

wow double keyed...yea im sure itll be fine. the bolts will see approx zero force with the keys

No picture update (I know lame), but I drilled out the high steer arms last night to 5/8" 8" from the center of the kingpin. This was based on my previous measurement that gives me 8" of throw needed for the ram.

Also, Adam (Dundy) and Carmelo (cmelo) came over and ripped out the rear springs and cut off the eyes of the mains out of the extra packs I got. Basically, I'll have two mains and two second leaves along with the third leaf and overload (should help control wrap a bit).

We compressed a main leaf by itself to see when it will go flat and keep that as my full bump. Problem is, that would mean I only have 1.5" of uptravel. I know where I need to cut the wheel well and bob the bed, so I can do that and move the shackle hanger up and onto the bumper to get some more uptravel out of the rear before the leaves go flat.

Also, today I ordered my full hydro setup from Lance at PSC Motorsports (2.5" double ended 8" stroke ram and all the extras I need). Very knowledgeable guy. Got the pump modified for a hydroboost setup, and got the details on what other parts I'll need to get the hydroboost setup to work in my MJ.

Assembled the SOLID knuckles for good and greased them up. Spent the next hour or so staring at the back of the bed to figure out how much I can bob it. Looks like I'll be taking out about 11".

This is just showing where full bump of the rear spring should be. Actually 3" of uptravel instead of the 1.5" I had before.

Tomorrow the surgery begins :D

Out of all my Rocktoberfest pictures, apparently I failed to get any of the rear of that MJ. You can kind of see it here though; shackles mount off the rear bumper.
