i got my soft lines in and would like to start mocking up my brake lines, but it appears that the calipers this kook gave me are F'ed. an M10x1.5 banjo fits (as it should) but is SUPER loose. guess im going to autisticzone as kyle kookenstien and trying to get them replaced.

small update... picked up a snazzy trinket to put on my bumper. ya know, for those warm summer days.

progress has been slow, but i think im on the home stretch. install is scheduled for this weekend. and its supposed to rain this weekend. anyway... FINALLY found a Ujoint and Ubolt that is going to work with my yoke. what i was told was a 1330 yoke deffinantly isnt. searching through napas catalog, the best thing i could find is a "detroit 7290". ya, i know... wtf is that? long story short, it and the appropriate Ubolts fit perfect. i cannot find a yoke for the 9" that runs this Ujoint. i cannot find a yoke that does run this joint with the same spline count at the pinion as the 9". i dont know, i dont care, ive got part numbers now.

i was able to swap out my calipers for ones with a 10mm banjo and picked up a set of hoses that i think are going to work great. now all i got to do is run a hard line from the stock distribution block to them. the housing is sand blasted and ready for a shave... which is going to commence in in about.... an hour. haha.

The shave looks familiar. Is that chip even going to be an issue?
i think your shave was more aggressive. there is definitely more to be gained, but i got everything really darn flat. so im happy with it.

Is that a chip what your worried about?

Smooth it out and run it, now much you can really do.
ya know... its not actually on the tooth. at least not where they should ever contact. but it concerns me that there are more than one chip (on other teeth).

the gears/locker were supposedly set up by rock solid. backlash feels on par with a used gear set, and pinion bearings are solid. i think im going to run a pattern and see what it looks like. i have a few options... depending on the results.

overall, im happy. i drove back to mount pleasant only pushing the buttons on my wheel for the cruise control. and the REAL locker is gorgeous.

only had two hickups... my driveshaft was too short, if you can believe that. i looked up a 1310 series drive shaft with the correct measurements using a spicer PDF and then referenced car-parts.com to locate one. had to drive to traverse but im super happy with the shaft. i also just figured out a leaky banjo. it was too long and bottoming out on the caliper, preventing a seal. now the pedal is much beter.

picked these up for the price of free.99. i was told they were WJ seats, but they are dated at '97. so i think they are ZJ. regardless... its all manual controls, and the foam isnt blown out. so i took a chance.

thanks man, an i appreciate ya being patient with me on getting it. im too busy to wipe my own ass these days.

on another note, did you try mocking it up? even with all RE parts, the fitment was pretty poor. i had to use some persuasion to make her fit. (not that im implying its of any fault of yours!)
