measured my wheel base today. i gained about 2 inches worth of stretch. really didnt think id get that much, but im happy. flexed it out too... everything fits... but its tight.

everything fits up front at full flex, but im sure at full lock will be issues. need to do my knuckles.

rear stuff fine. sitting on the bumps. no rub.

Nice! You should break something just for posterity!

So the hand throttle... Now you can throw 'er in 4lo, step out and walk it through obstacles steering through the window. :D

...it's almost like remote control.

front drive shaft finally wore out and got demoted to spare status... thats about it. :dunno:

checked all the fasteners in my front end, set toe, aired up, removed 8 drive shaft bolts, and an hour of trying to get dirt out of my eye later... she was running up 127 doing 75.

played with the hand throttle a little. was DEFFINANTLY fun and useful. hill climbs with annoying sized rocks and roller coaster bumps through the woods were nice to cruise through with it. no driver induced turbulance, just smooth crawl. but i need gears to really make the most of it. think i touched it once or twice on the long crawl.

been collecting parts, designing parts, and gathering materials.... but the only rigs im working on lately are other peoples. lol.

picked up a 35" KO, brand new. mounted on a 10" wide for now, until i make a 5on5.5 D30.

got a power steering cooler for cheap. i noticed fade for the first time when i wheeled with the 35s. this should help, and i have plenty of room. i have no condenser, trans cooler, or winch up front.

and some of the SAE stuff im working on... this is an old car that im likely going to get free reign on modifying... lighter, stronger, more travel, etc... so i took the old CAD files and am making the changes before, well, making the changes. lol. then running analysis on it and tweaking some more.

been playing around in the snow lately...

i think its time for shocks. i know one of the front is blown and i want to relocate the lower shock mounts in the rear. ive noticed wheel hop from the front in deep snow. scares me a little considering its a D30 turning 35s on stock shafts (for now).

turns out i have a pretty sneaky girlfriend. i sent her a link to a gas tank skid being sold by John D and didnt think much of it. more of a joke really. but she surprised me with it for christmas. pretty sure its a tonken brand skid. and came off a late model, so i know itll fit.

this is the same woman that came up to me while i was enjoying a beer after the jeep blessing and says, "the swaybar is all hooked up, the tires are filled, and i checked the lugs." i think shes a keeper.
