I'm buying a Powertank and want to know your opinions about buying one with the adjustable regulator or just the 150psi permanently set regulator. I dont really want to lug around a bunch of air tools so I suppose it'll just be for tires. Is it likely a person would regret not having an adj. reg. at a later date?

The 15lb tank with 150psi regulator is the same price as a 10lb tank with adjustable regulator.

TIA

If you are going to want to run air tools, your going to want a regulated unit. The regulators on the powertanks is really what sets them apart from other setups. They are really the best in the business. I think Tozovr was ranting about how much he loved his tank and how it never freezes up. I'd opt for the regulated one personally. I am actually looking to buy one right now as well. A few FYI's... power tank now offers blue tanks at the same price as the black ones, you still have to pay for the polished. Also in April there will be a new regulator version out, you better be expecting a price hike when this happens.

I have a set regulator, and it works great for tires. I've never tried to run tools, though.

Anyone heard of Ultimate Air ? Seems to be the same as Powertank only less expensive. Any difference or downside to them?

Only difference is the regulator, as i stated above. If you are planning on running tools or an enviroment where its super cold look at the powertank, its the only way to go.

There is also another company that is cheaper than ultimate air. They have adj regulators 0-300 psi but they only have 10 and 20 brushed alum. tanks. The whole kit with the 20 tank is 305.00 inc. shipping

I don't understand, why would anyone want to pay so much for these CO2 setups. You guys need to get on ebay, the tanks can be had for $100-$150. I got my 150# regulator for $30 shipped or do the HF regulator and drill it out. either way, your spending under $200. As far as the mounts, either a local Fire Extinguisher shop or homemade will do. HF has all the hoses and fittings you will ever need.
