Possible 2nd Jeep Project

XJ Stryker

WHO DAT!
I am looking hard at starting on a 2nd Jeep since i have gotten this one going and my wife has been nagging me for one now.

This is another 87 waggie. Not sure if it has the D44 yet the guy will have pictures of it for me tomorrow. But he wants a 1000 bucks for this one too and there is no exterior rust unlike my last one. And it has 130,000 thousand miles.

Here are some pics that i have so far

What do yall think. I am thinking good deal regardless and great deal if it has the d44 already.

Not if I get it first. :shhh:

Since i first bought "my first jeep project" The wood grain has really grown on me. I am Leaving it on the Tan one also. Problem is i could easily spend the thousand on a lift for my tan one but that wont solve my nagging wife wants her a jeep also dilemma. So looks like my lift will have to wait for a while.

Woodgrain will stay on.:peace:

The Vehicle is nice but has some problems with CARFAX vehicle history reports. Inconsistent odometer readings apparently it doesnt have 130 thousand miles on it. It has more like 180 if I did my 4th grade math correctly. How will this effect the title would it still be considered a clean title. That is the only problem on it. Doesnt say whether it was rolled back manually or if a new odometer was purchased.

What do yall think I should do? Havn't had to deal with this type of problem yet

Call your BMV and find out. It may need a different title due to the discrepancy. Do you care if it has a clean title or not? If it runs good and seems to be in good condition, and you are going to keep it a while, I wouldn't worry about it.

You may also check with your insurance company if it requires a different title, some of them can be bastards on insuring salvage titles, etc.

Well anyway i got some more pics of it today. Bad mileage or not i am not gonna be trying to make money off of it or anything i just want a solid truck

It did come with a stock Dana 44 i couldnt talk him into crawling under it for pictures of the t-case but i am pretty sure it is a 242.

Dana 44 lil rusty but nothing a wire brush wont fix
