Ed, sorry to see the condition of the Jeep. If the insurance company decides to total it, will you buy it back?
I've already shared this with Ed, but I had my car stolen when I was in college. The difference between my situation and Ed's situation, is that my car was professionally stolen and taken to a chop shop in which it was stripped completely and dumped in a field within 48 hours. I know how he feels. I felt violated, humiliated, and at a complete loss. Everything I had worked hard for was gone. In this case, Ed has something. It will be interesting to see what he will do with this situation. I think I would want the Jeep back if it was fixable.
I don't understand people who choose to do harm to others. Punishment for crimes in this country are weak. We punish those who smoke weed (do not infringe on the rights of others) but there's very little punishment for those who engage in theft (infringe on the rights of others). Our society and the laws are all very jacked up.
EDIT: Sorry, you posted as I was typing.
