Re: SOA on a XJ? whats the Con's to it?

Well I did a search and found nada on doing a spring over axle.

I have a 8.8 I am going to swap in and was thinking rather then doing a aftermarket spring pack that maybe I could just do a SOA with the 8.8 and use a new stock spring pack. I am looking for about 6-7" of lift from the rear and had not planned on a traction bar / ladder bar.

Anyone have first hand experiences with something similier to this that they can give advise on for my discission making as to what to do?
