Hey guys,
just got my Heep trail ready and looking for places to wheel and some wheelin' buddies.

I live in CDA and have a 98' XJ on 32's w/ 4.56's...nothin' fancy
So where are some good places to wheel in the coeur d alene/spokane area?

and dont say 7-mile ORV cause it sucks...
has anybody been to the Liberty Lake ORV park?
im gonna explore the Fernan Saddle today....

anyway if anybody is up for some wheelin' let me know, id love some to see some badass XJ's, and ill buy the first round....

I hear Liberty is nice, and we drove through the area 2 years back on a round-the-state Jeep Shakedown. Just shy of 700 miles, with nearly 100 off pavement. Liberty looks like it's got possibilities.

FubarXJ could tell ya all about it, especially what corner not to drive around with a dusty windshield while the sun is low, but he's at NWFest.

Our trip took us into northern Idaho, crossed over on 40 miles of dirt roads. Had we gone north, I hear there are good 4x4 trails up there... if I can find info I'll post back. Or, at least post back a google map of the area.

pinehurst Id has some really good wheeling.
Eagle creek
Kettle falls/twin sisters
7mile may suck on the surface, but its what you make of it. I have broken more parts there and seen more rollovers and carnage than pretty much anywhere I've wheeled.

I heard there is land use issues out in Pinehurst, like most of the good trails are on private property?
At least that's what Tracy of North Idaho TrailBlazers/ Six States mentioned.....I dunno.

Id like to head up and check it out if anybody is up to go....

Eagle Creek...isnt that up the CDA River? Sorry dont know where any of these trails are....
And where is Twin Sister's/Kettle Falls?

and ya i pre-judged 7-mile a little, last time i went it was WAY dusty and full of assholes, i did almost put my Heep on its side tho crawlin up the big ass washouts up the hill :laugh3:

I got a buddy who said I could be his guest for tomarrow, but dunno if its worth the trip...

I think im gonna stay local.
Found Eagle Creek too BTW....just up the CDA river off Prichard Creek Rd.
So where are the good spots in Pinehurst then? is it forest service roads or....

and what about the Mullan and Compressor District area, right outside Wallace, any good places around there?

anyway i wanna get a little wheelin' trip together for tomarrow or sunday if anybody is interested let me know, im open for suggestions on where to go.
