Cool, I wonder of a transfercase counts as a transaxle. $60 is a good deal.

I wonder if a transaxle is an axle? Oh well, I got a xj 44 for $135 so I guess I got a good deal. :laugh3:
I asked the cashier at pnp and she said that the staff doesn't even know when the 1/2 price days are.

usually they seem to fall on holiday weekends, such as presidents day and such...but not always. maybe you'll get lucky??

Pnp is so much fun especially when you have a nice day and find what you need/want. Get there early and get your hand stamped so you can go to a few different ones in the area. How is the Stockton one Dan? I think I read that was the 1st pnp in the network. You could probably hit the Modesto one and Madera? I think it's Madera, I know there are a few not to far apart down 99.

The one in Modesto is awful. I saw one XJ there in the past year and it seemed small to me. Most of them seem to wind up at the one in Stockotn. There are usually about 10 to 15 at any given time. It is a big yard and I haven't even made it to looking through half of the area.

Dan, So the one in Stockton is pretty good? Where is it? I would be coming down Hwy 4 from Disco Bay. I didn't know they had one so close to me...thats awsome. I need to start scavaging parts to rebuild my junk.

Take HWY 4 over to 99 south. You will have to drive past the exit (wrong side of freeway). Take the Arch road exit, go back over the HWY (east) and turn south on the frontage road. Turn East on Clark drive for 1/4 mile. It is really close to you and about 5 minutes from my house in Manteca.

I usually find what I need there.

The one in Rancho Cordova off of Sunrise Blvd is good as well. They have about a dozen xjs at any time and 2 had dana 44 rear axles that were spotted within the last year. I just pulled a xj dana 44 from the pnp in South Sac off of Stockton blvd this weekend. While you guys are at a pnp, go over to the Chrysler car section and pull the Lebaron hood vents off of the 80's Chrysler Lebaron turbos, you can easily resell them here, JU, Pirate, etc for a little profit. Get them before those old cars are crushed. :)

1 more thing, most of the xjs you see at a pnp are 84-88' or so, but I saw a nice red 95' with nice light grey seats in RC if anyone was looking for that.

Would that be the one that you are selling here in the "for sale" section?

Transfer cases DO NOT count as transaxles or transmissions. I tried it last year and wasn't able to talk the cashier into believing it was either. They know it is for 4 wheel drive, and will charge it as such. At least here in San Jose, they kinda have a clue - ya'll might get lucky and get away with it somewhere else...

Yes, that's the one. I listed 5 times in the past when I found a xj 44 in a yard, but when I heard I could get it for what I did and then could resell it, I jumped on it. My price is still a decent, not a steal like directly from the pnp, but you could wait years to find one there, or be lucky like we've been here in the area and spot 4 (6 if you consider the 2 I found at James Auto Wreckers in Antelope and posted up about) the pnp within the last 6 months or so.

Me and my big mouth. :laugh3: It's still a good deal for $375. Like I said I listed 5 times in the past and people gave me bad rep for some reason. So I have helped out my XJ bros and still look for stuff for people, I just saw this one under a xj and grabbed it. Now everyone get off my back about this or shell out the $375 for it and its yours.
