Anyone notice any xj or zj's in Sac pNp. I need a gas skid. I figure I'll head down and take a look around either way.

Thanks for the heads up.

If you make your way over to the bay area I have one you can have for $25.

is that a pre97 or 97+? I need all skids for a 97+ if any one has them

Mine are pre-97. I also have a stock transfer case skid too.

Ok, I got to take advantage of this sale! But one thing I've been wondering, how do they price the parts in the first place - are we talking individual pricing, or like "bumper $30, muffler $20", and so on?

You can use this site, it's another PnP place up in Hayward and down in San Jose that's also having a 1/2 price sale this weekend. Just enter the part name, or part of it and you'll get a rough idea of what you're looking at. http://www.pickapart.com/pickyourpartparts.php

Their prices are pretty comparable to Pick And Pull. Just cut the price listed in Half for the sale. Also don't for get to add the full core charge, you don't get a break on that unfortunately.

Hmm, so you grab a bunch of parts, proceed towards the 'counter', and the 'clerck' goes: "complete bumper, that's 50 quid"? Unmatter what condition/brand/style/kind?

In Norway they do individual pricing on each part, so you can end up with some ridiculous prices determined by inexperienced/dumb employees.

And what's a 'full core charge'?

There's like seven XJ's and one MJ at the local PNP now, so..

Basically like you said it's a flat price, a junked out bumper and nice shiny newish one are the same price. The only main differentiation is usually between car and truck.

Some of the non-you-pull-it lots are subjective on pricing, but are usually negotiable.

Some parts have a core charge associated with them. They don't cut the core charge in half.

For example:

Description Price* Core*
Axle To Axle Car $74.99 $10.00
Axle To Axle Truck $139.99 $15.00

For an XJ axle you would get charged $70 + $15 (+ Tax and an Environmental Fee).

Pick-A-Part is another Pick-N-Pull type place, pay $2, go find what you need, take it off and pay for it on the way out. They're also running a 1/2 off sale this weekend.

The Newark PnP has pretty much the same XJ's that were there the last 1/2 off sale. I did get a new starter for the wife's car and a Taurus fan but that was about it.

Couple of full size waggy's with D44's front and rear as well as an old Gladiator truck with the same I think (didn't really look closely). No new LeBaron's or Z's for vents, only the ones that were missing them from last time.

I hit up the Stockton Ave and Sunrise locations today. the Stockton Ave was uneventful for me but I strick gold at the Sunrise pNp.

I got a snowboard rack with a few scratchs from a roll over Grand Cherokee as well as an after maket seat. I also got a spare BFG AT. there where four more in the back of an F150 pickup about 2nd or 3rd deep in a row. they all had about 20% tread, maybe a little less, 32x11.5x15. good enough for good spares.

I'm still looking for a gas skid and grand cherokee tie rod if anyone comes across one let me know

how much do you think a front 44 would be?

You're in luck, I got a hitch today and the cherokee just happened to have a gas tank skid. Since I pretty much had to remove the skid I went ahead and bought it hoping someone would need it. $10 and it's yours... plus $80 core charge and a $25 environmental fee, I learned my pricing from PNP :) I'm only kidding, just $10, PM me if you're interested.
