Personnel Announcement (Thanks to ...)

More or less since the inception of the North Atlantic Chapter, we have had a Chapter home page thanks to Bill Brown (PAhighlander) letting us use his server, and thanks to Matt Spiece (MattBlackXJ) who has been keeping the home page up to date.

Matt's career has taken him in a new direction, and he has now handed off the care and feeding of the home page to Ryan Aumiller (CheapXJ). I would like to take this opportunity to extend my tahnks to Matt for watching over the home page. This was strictly a volunteer, uncompensated task and I don't think there has been much acknowledgement of either Matt or Bill for making it possible for the chapter to have a public face on the Internet.

Thanks, guys, and best wishes to Matt in his new endeavor.

I'd also like to say, If there's anything that anyone would like to see on the page, feel free to contact me. ([email protected] is the quickest way) or via PM (don't check those as often )

I'd also like to request any pictures from chapter events, be it past or present. So we can get some more complete albums together.

some additional little things I've been thinking of are:

a list of accessible trails in the NAC area, and contact info/directions (as well as places that other events take place)

a list of junkyards/sources for XJ/MJ specific parts/services in the area.

We can discuss trail listings next time we sit down over coffee/tea/... -- in general, at least in New England there is so much opposition to off-roading that all the clubs have a rule (usually unwritten, but some have written it out) that directions to trails are NEVER posted in/on public forums, because it just tells the antis where to block us out of.

I don't know if this is as true for other parts of our chapter area.
