I know this is a bit of a last minute, long shot. But, I wanted to recon some more Blue trails for NACFest and my regular wheeling buds are not available. I need a couple of guys to make the minimums.

Anyone want to try PAP tomorrow around 9AM??? (supposed to be a decent day) Nothing stupid is planned, but I would recommend at least 31's and some skids. Limited slip or lockers would be good, but not absolutely necessary (I have the lockers and winch).

If interested, PM me. I'll answer by 8PM tonight if I can scare up a couple of you guys.

Thanks,

Mike,I'll be up there with alot of BMJA guys.I think we are breaking up into at least two groups, black and blue.I will be there around 8:00am to get my new trail guide school. There will be quite a few XJ's going.

Is this a BMJA only run? If not, maybe I could join the Blue group, or entice a couple of guys away to explore some of the trails I haven't been on in awhile (like Hummer Hill, the entire length of GB&U, Laurel, and Spare Tire Inner, etc?) Possible looking to add these to the same, old "regular" stuff for the NACFest moderate crowd.

If you think it's OK, I'll just head up anyway and take my chances (have to talk with Kyle anyway).

Mike, I wish I could go, but got to work so I can have Sunday off. If you ever want to go during the week, shoot me a e-mail at [email protected]. I definately have to get out and try out the lift. Bob

Bob,

Good to hear from you. During the week over the next month or two is a definite possibility - I'll be in touch if it looks promising - we'll need a third though.

Mitch,

Sounds good - I'll plan on being there around 8 as well.

Mike,it's not an official BMJA run.You can definitly go.I'll see you in the morning.

Mitch:

I thought those four guys I went with were with your group. My mistake, sorry about that - hope your runs went OK. I had a decent day, nice bunch of guys - just a bit unrealistic regarding their "blue trail" capabilities with open diffs. At least I got to use my winch a bit! :lickout:

And, small world, when we stopped by to see an H2 get dragged out of the Inner Spare Tire creek crossing, one of that group was a NAXJA member. Rick Garrison - who just happened to be there - from OHIO!!??!! Tried to get him to come back for NACFest in June.

So, I didn't get to check out the trails I wanted to. Need to get up there in a few weeks - let me know if you're headed up there again.

BTW, Valley Road as a "2 wheel drive" entrance road is a real adventure right at the Death Valley entrance. Kyle says they're going to get it graded again soon, but, if it's not done by mid-June, it's definitely going to be a no-go for stockers and light moderates. Bonner's and Turtle will be the only other choices in that case.

Next time, buddy.

Mike,I had a really bad day,I broke all kinds of stuff...first an axle shaft and then I ripped the steering box off.We did get it all fixed and got my mess home in one piece.I gotta get a trailer!!!I should be able to go again in a couple of weeks, just let me know when.Maybe we can get Chris to go and just the three of us can go check out trails.

Damn, now I'm really sorry I wasn't around to help out - glad you got it sorted out. That's what amazes me about PAP, it's so friggin big. I saw you once at 8:00AM and never again. Although you were probably hanging out at all those ugly Black 3's while I was in search of puddles for my group of mudders - they didn't really care for rock or anything off-camber - so I never came close to anything breaking.

Yeah, Chris would be up for it (he had another obligation today), maybe even Andy. My Saturdays are wacked for the rest of April, but a Sunday would be OK, and then there's always May . . .

Sundays would work for me.Just keep me posted and we can do some exploration.I have some ideas for a good days worth of trails for some blue groups and black groups.I'm not familiar with any of the green trails,so I'll need some help with that.Well I'll be talking to ya.

Mike and Magoo, please post when you will doing your scouting for NAC Fest, I would definately like to tag along. I would have been there yesterday, but I didn't see the post until 10:30 friday night.

Nice job Mitch! What trail was that on? that's what you get for 38's, j20 box, and no bracing!

Sorry I couldn't make it. I was in colorado snowboarding all week...amazing spring snow! I want to live there. Plus, my jeep is pretty much out of commision for a while. Can't wait to have time to give it some lovin'. Later. _nicko_

Seems there is some interest in a Sunday run at Paragon. Any person with Paragon experience wanna set it up, I will volunteer my help if it is needed.
