I did not insult Poland, I stated I cared not that you were from there. As for a wolf shoot and drilling, I would love to have some oil grilled wolf. Where would you rather your oil come from? Do you speak for the majority of Americans, or merely spout the talking points of the left ones? As for what kind of man I am, I'm the kind that feels insulting someone over the Internet is quit silly. However I will pick you up at any airport in Texas so you can insult me to my face. As for your point on Palin, it becomes obvious you have quite a few issues with her, beyond what she looks like. I try not to suppose what others think, it does no good. However, I can see by the attempts to belittle others, and debate in ever widening circles, the wolves, the oil, she's pretty, only points me and others on this thread to a conclusion.

Personally I would rather trade worthless paper greenbacks for Arab oil as long we can get away with it, and save our limited reserves for a rainy day.

Just because someone has firm beliefs doesn't make them right; afterall, dictators and tyrants have firm beliefs too, but no one's going to give them a Nobel Peace Prize based on their convictions.

Oh and you talk of communist Poland, how old are you to REALLY understand what was going on in your former homeland at that time? I have a few friends that grew up in East Germany, and all they ever say is that they had a normal childhood compared to anyone else.
You've got to be pushing 40+ to really understand what it was like to grow up Commie. Or are you just passing stories you heard from older family members?

You're right, communism didn't happen in Poland overnight. It happened over one vote. Franklin Roosevelt cast with Stalin to surrender Poland to the communists. Churchill voted against it, but as the old saying goes. Churchill was too weak, Roosevelt was too ill, and Stalin was too sly.

FDR was a Socialist....only they liked "Progressive" better, sounded less Commie. Our current administration is using the same label and proud of it.

My point is, those afraid to call it what it is are either beholden, a participant or totally oblivious.....which one are you?

Honestly I don't want to infringe on US politics past my obvious distaste for Palin. I can tell you I always liked McCain, but I was at a loss why he didn't chose someone with more economic experience as his running mate.

I remember certain things. I remember waiting in line ups with my family for our ration of meat (only to find the shelves were bare), or not being able to get a chocolate bar (those were rationed too). I even remember when my father sent us a box of oranges from Canada (first time I saw an orange). I also remember being told to stay quiet when I'm outside because my neighbors belong to the communist party (a couple calls and your folks would get hauled off), and it's hard to forget the tension at the airport coming to Canada (because it was inundated with soldiers carrying machine guns).

Which one am I? I'm the guy whose family lived it, and I'm the guy that chuckles inside when people - who haven't - use "socialism" like it's the new "IT" word. It sounds spoiled; it's like watching a 16 year old complain they got an M3 instead of a Vantage for their birthday.

Wait, let me get this straight; You don't want to "infringe" on OUR politics, yet you want to bitch and moan about Palin. Then you want to criticize people for telling you to stay out of OUR politics, when you are now saying you don't want to "infringe" on OUR politics. Your not making any sense to me.

IMO he chose Palin for the same reason Barry chose Biden. The running mates were viewed as opposites to the candidate, themselves. Barry was new, people related to him, Biden is a career politician. McCain is career politician, Palin was new and people related to her, well not you but your don't want to "infringe", right.

Ok you don't like her, you think she is stupid. It still doesn't make much sense to sit and try and convince people to not like her when, right now, she is a non factor in politics.

She probably will write a book and then start doing the speech tour. Just like all the other politicians who have left office or lost big election races.

I'm sure if you read through this post, it's pretty clear. Urban, you're doing the same thing the left has done in this country for years. Palin is stupid, ( never a real issue, always a "feeling", she's bad, stupid, ect...)you try that for a while, then when someone confronts you, you begin to twist in the wind, and it breaks down to you attacking me. You take me saying I care two drips where you are from, and turn it into I attack Poland. Then, you tack to a new approach. It's fairly clear, and I can run a simple step by step plan of your debate. First attack someone (with an accusation that truly has no merritt). She's stupid, may I ask, when was the last time you were governor of a state larger than your living room. Then, when someone calls you out on it, you repeat the statement, until you realize it isn't working. Then, you pick an item from what I have previously written, and try to take it, not only out of context, you turn it into an attack on what kind of man I am (come on down with that one). Then when that does not work, you change tack again. I sir am sick of it. There are individuals with your mindset all over this great earth, and all just as wrong. as for your point, you've done a good job. I hope more people read this total thread. I'm sure it will help some with their ideals. As for your point, and your statement about my lack of historical knowledge. Try this one. There was a man in the past that stated if you repeat something often enough it soon becomes the truth, it was a large part of his parties doctrine.
