Oscilloscope recommendations?

I'm thinking about buying an oscilloscope for automotive testing. I can get a nice analog one for under $200, but it doesn't record, its big, and it doesn't operate off 12v. So it wouldn't be that great for automotive work. I am thinking about a PC USB unit. I have seen the Pico setup, but that is a little out of my price range. Any usable ones for around $200?

Unless you understand the ins and outs of a digital scope, I would stick with an analog scope. The problem with digital scopes is aliasing. Because of the sampling rate of the scope, it can generate artifacts that can fool you.

See Nyquist theorem as a theoretical starting point.
As a rule of thumb we always choose a sample frequency of 10x the highest expected signal frequency for A to D cards.
Do check out ebay. I just did a search and there are a few pockt scopes
that are < $200.
