Opinion on Gears

There is no doubt 33's and 4.56's are nice. I ran that same setup for a couple years. I just know from experince that if money is burning a hole in your pocket and its a DD, there are way more fun/productive ways to spend the money.

I will be on 30's and 4.56 until the tires are bald. There is prolly a lot of things I could do with a 1000 bucks. Bumpers would make it look better and give me more protection. But wouldn't get me to or through Orange at all. But gears and a locker would. My Jeep really surprised me at 3in and 30's so I just want to beef up the diffs a lil and see what it can do! I don't got to see the 1000 dollars i put into it but I will know it is there when I have a huge rock face in front of me and press the gas! THat will be worth every penny!

if you do lunchbox lockers you don't need to worry about what ratio you are running

im on 34x1050x15 ltbs and have 456s and can still do 75 on the highway. id still like to go to 35x1250 and 488s

Thanks but I am saving the money right now! Just not sure I want to put a 1000 bucks into the rig at the moment. Been running bad!

uh? im somewhat of a noob but i dont understand what the lunch box lockers have to due with gearing.....

I was planning on gearing up then buying a locker!

What Brian is telling me is that I can buy the locker now and not worry about it since a lunchbox locker will work with any gear ratio. HTH!!!
