ontario emissions tests!!....2 in two years?!?!?!?!

so i haven't even owned my 93 XJ for a year yet... i bought it in december last year...obviously it was e-tested to transfer ownership.... now i got the paper saying i needs it again?!?!?! WTF??

can i go with 31 trxus M/T's or should i throw my stock tires back on?
i have an exaust leak and various oil leaks...does that matter??

Hey bubba . . . if you look at the fine print on the crap they gave you after they sniffed up the butt of your XJ in December, you'll find that it is good for a year.

If you're renewing your licence (gettin' da sticker), all you have to do is show them that cert and they'll pass on the butt-sniff 'til your next renewal.

I'm pretty sure it's every two(2) years. The '93s are scheduled to be tested in 2004. Your plate renewal is January. They give a 90 day notice for emissions prior to your plate renewal.... hence the notice.

I think,either, they 'forgot' that it was tested in December, or it's part cash grab process. That is ..... they have you scheduled for a 2004 check .... you're darn well gonna get tested in 2004.

I'm pretty sure they do not check for any minor leaks. They do test the gas cap.
