Gotta do brakes on the 8.25. Anybody use online parts sources? I am ussually a auto zone/parts plus guy. But i wanna be as CHEAP as possible (the rubber line is vise gripped close right now because the wheel cylinder is leaking).:flame:

Just wondering what some people use

a guy i work with recommends rockauto.com he gets about 90% of his parts from them

rockauto.com has some great prices, and good shipping times too

I've bought quite a few things off RockAuto. I haven't had any problems to date. Things ship cheaply, quickly, and the 5% discount codes don't suck either. They normally have better prices than anyone local, even after the shipping is tacked on.

Depends. Probably 9" drums unless yours has the towing/police/heavy duty package.

Pop off a wheel and measure them, or look for the stamping in the side of the drum.

I will also say Rockauto. If you search retailmenot for the rockauto coupon they always have 5% off. Otherwise let me know I've got a few coupon codes from them in my email.
I just did the entire front suspension in Jennie's Camry with Rockauto parts, Wishbones/Balljoints/TREs/Bushings/end links and complete strut assemblies with no problems. I've got the entire rear suspension (trailing arms, lateral links, all of it) sitting in the dining room. I bet we saved 5-700 dollars over parts store pricing for all of it.

Just watch out on the shipping, they ship from 3 or 4 different warehouses, sometimes it's cheaper to buy the slightly more expensive part if it ships from the same warehouse as the other stuff your ordering. They'll tell you where all the parts are shipping from when you checkout.

alright thanks. For all the parts for the rear brakes it was $130 shipped. Im gonna run down to parts plus tonight and see what it is there.

I use rockauto at times .... but just don't order anything time sensitive. I have had a number of problems with them shipping completely wrong parts and making returning them a pain in the butt.

I use RA on a regular basis. I only have 2 gripes about them. 1) Seems every now and again, they ship really slow. For instance: I ordered a fuel pressure reg for the girlfriend's brother. Ordered on like a Thursday and got it the next Friday. 8 days seemed a bit excessive, but whatever. Stuff happens. 2) The last item I ordered was at a closeout cost. The grabbed the part off the counter and found it was used, rusty, greasy and not usable. They made a call to me *that was nice* to explain the situation and tell me they would ship me a new part as long as I was alright with paying the difference. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't just offer to take care of the difference for the inconvenience, but I needed the part and it was only a $10 difference.

Bottom line, I'd recommend them to others and use them again.

I've ordered a shit ton of parts for myself and friends and have never had a problem getting the wrong parts.

Now, timing can be a bit slow, and the shipping from 3 different warehouses and the associated costs can be BS, but I still save a ton of money compared to the parts store. They're definitely not for emergency parts, but when you've got major work to do and you're planning out a project the money saved is quite a bit.

I've never had to return anything or deal with the customer service, so they may be jackholes, I don't know.
