After by XJ being on the market for 30 days with no luck in selling it, I have decided I am tearing it down and doing a complete ground up rebuild. So I will be having lots of workweekends here soon.

Good. I think we'll be seeing a drop in gas prices soon. If you got rid of it you would have been so upset with yourself later.

I think we need a lil Regan-omics again.

Plus we never got messed with back then cuz Regan was crazy enough to push the "button"
 
I commute 38 miles to work and it amazes me the difference in price along the way. It's anywhere from .02 to .10 sometimes more. I saw a .10 shift last week, it's crazy. I stop at the cheapest when I need to fill up. It seems like it's never the same place, and the prices change once a day, it's great. I never price shopped before now, now I do it as a sport. Heck It only cost me 64$ to fill my 97 xj the other day. I look at the bright side
 
Yeah, I've noticed the huge difference in prices too on my commute. I always try to fill up on the cheapest one, but it seems to never work for me.
When I reach the next gas station it's always cheaper and if I try to pay attention to the prices to get cheapest on my way home from work, then the prices will have changed again.
Just can't win.

Probably next sunday. Gonna do minor stuff like build brackets for the fans and try and get the tire carrier on. Trim the fenders and pull the rear axle off and see if we can fix that chackle bolt
 
Whatever the circumstances were that made you decide to keep and now rebuild the XJ have made us all very happy. You are a great asset to the chapter and we need to keep you around for awhile. Sry I am too far away to help with your "New" project.
 
Let me know if you need a hand with something. If my boss (wife) hasn't planned anything when you're going to work on it I will gladly help out.
