straight line, straight line, blah, blah, blah.

Bring the goat to Second Creek. Let's see if it can even stay ahead of the Mini.

If a Viper cannot keep up with the Subie STi I don't think the GTO will. You better prove you can beat a "cute little car" first.

Just kidding Troy, nice pic man. Even if I am a blue oval man myself.

I think we are living in the best muscle car era right now. GTO, new Mustang, new Vette, new Vette Z06, the new Caddies (not a fan, but they go like stink), and even the rice ain't bad. Evo 8, Subie STi, Acura RSX.

In years to come when the Greenies get their way and we are all riding solar powered tricycles, we will look back at these times with good memories of the cars available.

Well put..... for a limey..... :laugh2:
I always liked the look of the Chrysler 300, so I'm digging the new Charger. But old iron is always best; was looking at a 52(?) Pontiac Eight today- all original and complete. Sweet car. Had a 57 Belair with a 327 mini-rat when I was a kid and a 65 Buick Wildcat factory equipped with a 455- couldn't keep that car between the curbs, let alone the stripes! Punch it at 40- instant sideways  !!!

Well Grant I'm always up for some fun track time! I ain't stupid enough to blurt out that the Goat is gonna blow away the Mini...... we both know that it's all about the driver - and you've got the advantage there! :laugh3:

If you know of any "open" track days where you're gonna be at Second Creek, be sure to let me know. I definitely wanna try my hand at that kind of racing - and I'd definitely appreciate your advice, especially as shotgun on my first lap and initial car setup. I imagine there's some tricks involving tire pressures. I'm also keeping in touch with some other GTO guys in the Rocky Mountain GTO chapter who go to Second Creek often. I may join them sometime.

Now I just gotta get a helmet........

No problem Troy,

We were at the track a couple weeks ago. I will let you know when we go again. My buddies at SCR Performance usually put something together every 6 weeks or so.

Be sure to visit Second Creek this year, it will be lost to developers in November. A real pity.

In stock trim the Mini surprises a lot of people, but nothing makes up for cubic inches.

You Americans are crazy, I have to explain that you call a 5.7 liter engine a "small block" because an 8 liter engine is a big block. An F350 requires a heavy duty truck licence in South Africa, and filling it's tank would increase the national debt.

Damn I love this country.

grant: i'd be interested in going out someday to watch the MINI tear it up, so definitely post up
here when you take it out to the track again.

troy: so can you get access to that track atop south table mountain, or is that strictly for the CSP?
i've been up there on my mtn bike before while they're out playing chase... looks like fun :D

terry

as for me, someday (before i'm too old to enjoy it) i hope to build a 427 cobra. :loveu:

Terry,

Yeah, we train up there...... I might end up taking a couple laps in the Goat when everyone else goes to lunch...... :gag: :D
