I had to break away and do something car related......

I decided to warm up the tires, (not all doughnuts are the pastry kind) take a few pics, then do the Morrison/Evergreen/Conifer loop.

Here's a screen saver I made outta one of the pics:

(eagerly awaiting all the "shame on you, you're a cop" comments..... :gag: )

(guess i've still got mustang blood runnin' in my veins).

Troy...so thats your Goat? I was thinking it was an old one?

Man I missed something. :D

Believe it or not, I started my car enthusiasm with a '65 Pontiac LeMans at 15. Then before H.S. graduation, I bought a one-owner - '65 LeMans Convertible. My dad had a '65 LeMans when I was born - when I got the Convertible, he had to have one and got a '65 GTO convertible. A couple years later, some guy bought both my car and dad's at the same time for what was really good money in '89. I then got into street rods, built a '54 Buick, flamed it, stuffed a 500 cid Caddy and other goodies in it. Kids burgled the garage I had it stored in one winter and trashed it. I took the kids to court, sued and bought a '91 S-10 due to my starting the cop stuff.

The S-10 got me started 'wheeling. Lift kit, flares, and other purdy stuff. Took it to Moab in '98..... realized I'd need something better than IFS for rocks. Then came the XJ!

Grandpa left me his prized '46 Olds coupe that I'm slowly street rodding, but when I started following the early rumors about the Pontiac/Holden GTO becoming a reality...... well, I had to drive one when they came out in '04. That's when common sense flew right out the window and I brought home the new Goat. Kinda back to my roots again - in a new fangled sorta way....

But that's more than you cared to know now wasn't it...... :laugh3:

Naw thats cool.

Me and my old man are building a 56 Chevy Hot Rod...:D 350/4spd...right now it has a pontiac axle in the back (BIIIIIG) they were the new hotness when this car was built in the 70s...My uncle owned it untill around 74 I think, it was dragraced, then turned into (yes a towrig) a tow rig for my uncles dunebuggy. Then my dad bought it in 74 and drove it for a bit and parked it, then when I turned 15 we started the build. Countless hours of fun. :D

I see two things wrong with this sentence. :D :laugh3:

straight line, straight line, blah, blah, blah.

Bring the goat to Second Creek. Let's see if it can even stay ahead of the Mini.

If a Viper cannot keep up with the Subie STi I don't think the GTO will. You better prove you can beat a "cute little car" first.

Just kidding Troy, nice pic man. Even if I am a blue oval man myself.

I think we are living in the best muscle car era right now. GTO, new Mustang, new Vette, new Vette Z06, the new Caddies (not a fan, but they go like stink), and even the rice ain't bad. Evo 8, Subie STi, Acura RSX.

In years to come when the Greenies get their way and we are all riding solar powered tricycles, we will look back at these times with good memories of the cars available.
