OE turbine aluminum rims coated?

Want to try and brighten up my turbine rims on an 88, can't tell if they are coated or bare aluminum, what product/process to use? Anyone? Thanks

I can't think of anything I have seen in terms of modern wheels that looks any better.

They're actually pretty nice, off a 100K rig damn wheel caps go for 49$ a piece think i'll avoid the latest "trend" Ef that.. oh ok maybe some pink or green ones. What was the question again? Oh, are they coated or not.

OEM wheels mostly are coated - might've been different back then of course, but can't you tell just by looking (or even touching); seems unlikely the lacquer would've survived 100% on all 4 (5?) wheels all this time.
