President Barack Obama has signed an executive order presidential determination allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to resettle in the United States. Sure, what can go wrong when we allow hundreds of thousands of people who have been, as Mark Steyn memorably described, "marinated" in a "sick death cult," who voted for Hamas, and 55% of whom support suicide bombings live here and at the American taxpayers' expense:
By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in migration assistance to the Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza.
The "presidential determination" which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States was signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4.
President Obama's decision, according to the Register, was necessitated by "the urgent refugee and migration needs" of the "victims."
Few on Capitol Hill took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.
Let's review some of Barack Obama's most recent actions since he was inaugurated a little more than two weeks ago:
* His first call to any head of state as president was to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.
* His first one-on-one interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television.
* He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.
* He ordered all overseas CIA interrogation centers closed.
* He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and 9/11.
* Today we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refuges to move to and live in the US at American taxpayer expense.
Anyone else seeing a pattern here? :gee:

Well. You're not going to win the hearts and minds of the people in the middle east with military might. Been there, done that, failed miserably.

Really? Why don't you pack your bags and take a trip over and see how it is for yourself.

Are you a refugee from the USA? I hope so because we have too many of your kind here already.
I can't wrap my brain around the way some people think. I try to remain open minded and somebody starts talking about the hearts and minds of the Middle East. I suppose the UN should have spread flowers around the world to end the tyranny.

I swear the next person I meet I'm not even asking his/her name, political affiliation will do just fine.

Oh, and just so you know, Barry is sending 17,000 troops to Afghanistan.

I never said the above mentioned actions were a good idea.
I'm simply saying 'force' alone is seldom the answer. I don't care where you live or whether you think your beliefs are noble or not - nobody responds well to force alone. Look, I can't hit people with a hammer, and expect them to like me.

If they took the first swing it does not matter. I was against Iraq, still am, Bush screwed up, Afghanistan fine, we started out right by pounding them and then going in then he decided to side track. As far as Palestine, egypt should have opened up their border in several spots and allowed all the innocents exit, put them in the bag so to speak for a month, then Israel should have turned it into a parking lot and painted it green. Then helped the ones who left to rebuild it. Israel is also another butthead but I can see their point, even agree with it to a certain extent, problem now is they have some real blood enemies not just religious ones.
Pakistan will be the next big one, they screwed up big time by bending over to the taliban.

Most of the time you correct, force alone doesn't do the job. But with the majority of the people in that region, force is the only thing they understand. You can talk to them till your blue in the face and they just aren't going to get it. So yes over there you do need to hit them in the head with a hammer and they will like you.

The Palestine vs Israel is never going to go away. So the old saying that who every wins the war writes the history is going to hold true over there. All those countries want to talk smack to Israel but none of them are willing to do anything. Egypt tried look at what that got them. Maybe Iran will once they get a missile that can reach that far, but I think Israel will smack them before that happens, like they did with Iraq.

Does it suck that Israel calls artillery strikes on populated areas? Yes, but you can't really blame them when Hamas is firing rockets from the windows of school houses. When the fighting starts the Israelis leave the area where the fighting is. The Palestinians just are not that smart to leave, doesn't mean Israel should stop defending themselves.

People forget the Palestinian issue could have been (mostly) settled 40 years ago or even earlier. Half of the Palestinians live in Jordan now, always have. Jordan wouldn't take the Palestinians when the Israelis ran them off (they were having there own Palestinian problems), nether would Syria, Lebanon moved them into refugee camps and kept them there. Egypt didn't want them either.
Three main tacks have been tried, beat them into submission, exterminate or run off as many as possible or throw money at them. None have ever really worked so far. Even land for peace was a big flop.
Funny how many people get upset when 350-700 Mexicans a day make it across the border and then accept a couple hundred thousand of likely subversive Palestinians.
it really doesn't make much sense to me.

It doesn't make sense because it's the other way around. People who accept the illegals I'm sure also accept the Palestinians. What's the difference anyway?

8Mud, we get it. You're a Mexican living in Germany. :D

No way man... it's nothing but peace, love and harmony. Now coming to America:

"A suburban Buffalo man who founded a cable TV station to promote better understanding of Muslims in the U.S. has been arrested on charges he beheaded his wife."
